for being honored by the Porterville
Optimist Club at a luncheon on March
11 for her commitment to "Bringing
Out the Best" in others as a leader
in academics, service and athletics.
Congratulations to
David
Ivancovich and
Chris Buettner
for their national virtual online
TeleVideo presentation before 55
schools across America this week.
Following the presentation, David
and Chris were invited to travel and
present
at the National NASA
Student Symposium in May of this
year at the Kennedy Space Center in
Florida. Sequoia is the first school
to be selected by NASA two years in
a row for this honor.
Congratulations to
Pranavi
Yalamanchili for winning
the Math Competition hosted by CSU
Fresno, and sponsored by the Clovis
Unified School District and the
Fresno County Office of Education.
Pranavi captured 2nd place last year
as a seventh grader at this four
county regional event and returned
this year to claim the crown. She
will represent Sequoia at the State
competition in May.
