SOAR
Club - performs local and campus community
service tasks and raises money for charitable
causes. SOAR is open to all Middle School
students, and meets weekly on Thursdays at 12:50 in
room 104.
Regular and meaningful service activity in our local
and global community is intended to develop a
life-long habit of the heart in our students.

Christian Club -
Our mission is to provide a place for students to
gather and grow in their relationship with God
through fellowship with other students.

We meet on Mondays at 12:50 in room
107
to have fellowship with other Christians on campus,
learn more about applying the Bible to daily life,
have a positive influence on other students on
campus, develop a stronger personal relationship
with Christ, and have fun doing it. |
CJSF -The
motto of CJSF is “Scholarship for Service”. CJSF
students are encouraged to participate in community
service as well as service projects on campus when
the opportunities arise.
Sequoia Middle
School is affiliated with the California Junior
Scholarship Federation (CJSF). The purpose of CJSF
is to recognize high standards of scholarship,
service and citizenship on the part of middle school
students. Membership in CJSF is neither automatic
nor required.

Environmental/Recycling Club - We are a group
of students interested in raising awareness about
the importance of recycling. At the
Environmental/Recycling
Club meetings, students can discuss environmental
issues and develop projects they engage in at school
and in their community. We meet in the School
Plaza on Tuesdays at 12:50. |
Astronomy Club
-The focus of astronomy is to study the nighttime
sky. The added goal of the astronomy club is to
excite the students and their parents, conduct
scientific studies, and to encourage interest in
furthering their knowledge.

Astronomy Club will meet the
second Tuesday of every month from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
in room 106. Every third month the club will meet at
the Circle J Ranch. Transportation will be provided
by parents. Students, parents and staff are all
invited to attend these meetings. In order to attend
a Star Party, students must attend two club meetings
prior to going to the Circle J so they will be
prepared for the night time viewing. |
Art Club -
Our club provides interested students with a
place to learn more about art through discussions
and hands on activities. It also promotes interaction
with peers in a positive and creative way. We meet
several times during the year for some creative fun.
Join us on Fridays in room 204! |
